+10 Years of professional experience coaching, mentoring, and treating football (soccer) players.
Originally from Denmark, I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy (Physical Therapy) from University College Absalon in 2014. After working for five years as a self-employed physical therapist at a private clinic in Denmark, I was awarded my DSSF diploma by the Danish Society of Sports Physiotherapy.
In pursuit of international educational goals, I moved to the United States of America, where I completed my Master’s degree in Exercise Science at California State University, Long Beach. Here, I developed a more in-depth understanding of strength and conditioning, sports psychology, sports medicine, nutrition, motor control, biomechanics, exercise physiology, testing, and program design.

My Story
I started playing football (soccer) as a young child, and my love for the game continued to grow throughout my life. I was 14 when I knew I wanted to become a professional footballer, and only 16 when I moved from home to the other side of the country, to pursue my dreams at Silkeborg Football College in Denmark.
During my college years, I experienced numerous football injuries and setbacks. I started to take action myself; reading research articles to identify best evidence practices for various kinds of football injuries and performance training programs. I quickly learned that I could become a better physical therapist than the ones that I had dealt with, and helping others provided me with a greater purpose. As a result, I re-evaluated my career goals and focused on an education in sports physical therapy, and exercise science.
With Footballmentor, I hope to reach as many football (soccer) players as possible; to mentor, teach, and empower them with evidence-based information from the physical therapy and exercise science field. No matter your age, gender, or whether you play on a recreational or professional level – Footballmentor strives to be one of your first destinations in your search for reliable information on football injuries and performance training.
Take action, take care!
